This letter has been sent to shareholders and investors of DIC Asset AG
today:
Dear Madam, Dear Sir,
Prior to publication of our six-monthly report for 2006, which we shall be
presenting in detail on the 21st of August, we wanted to provide you now
with the major details of the very successful initial six months of 2006.
In the first half of 2006, DIC Asset AG was able to further develop the
success of its business through acquisitions and sales: Proportionate
property acquisitions amounting to 217 million euros were contractually
agreed, and properties from the Fraspa, as well as the MEAG Portfolio to
the proportionate value of 6 million euros were successfully sold, that it
to say with an attractive margin. As we had reported, two major
acquisitions dominated our activities: At the end of June, DIC Asset AG had
acquired a property portfolio of 15 properties with a total usable area of
around 95,000 sqm from Häusser-Bau in Bochum. The total investment volume
was around 123 million euros. At the end of May, we were also involved in
taking over a property portfolio of 10 properties with a total usable area
of 80,000 sqm from Hochtief.
We presume that DIC Asset AG will conclude contracts for comparable
acquisitions of a similar size by the end of the year. As a result, we are
well above the plan for the current year. Our success is also determined by
the fact that we are able to let out our portfolio properties with an
attractive return. Accordingly, in the first half of the year, we achieved
a letting of 2,400 sqm to Schuhhaus Görtz in the new Bienenkorbhaus complex
in Frankfurt
